"The alternative is being bored to death in khakis and a beige cubicle eating oatmeal" - Dan Zehner
What comes up for you when you hear the phrase, "Life is an Adventure!"?
When I posed this question to a friend of mine recently, he immediately lit up. "Oh yeah! Life is about persevering into the unknown and finding fulfillment."
Every day, no matter where you are or where you are going, life can be fun. Not knowing the outcome for any given situation is what makes life feel adventurous.
The conversation quickly turned spiritual. My friend stated, "God is IN the uncertainty. I want more of God, so I need to embrace the uncertainty." He referenced Psalm 119:105 which states "I am a lamp unto your feet and a light upon your path.." We both noticed how the passage does NOT say "I will show you the whole map..."

We are constantly learning and becoming the next version of ourselves. That requires us to be courageous and take bold steps on a path that is only partially lit for us. If we can see our feet, and a little bit of the path ahead, that's all we really need. The rest is often all about having faith that it's going to work out in the end.
It's probably not going to turn out how you imagine though. But again, that's a big part of the adventure. The outcome, the destination, may be something entirely new. Embracing that uncertainty, that risk, is a big part of the journey.
Anything can be made into an adventure. You can bloom where you are planted. You can use the cubicle as a training ground, as a base camp for launching into your dream life.
Often when people think about epic adventures they reference climbing Everest, exploring the Moab or Ice Climbing the the Notch. In reality, there are levels of adventure, and each level can be epic in its own right. In life, adventure doesn't always have to be record setting or death defying. It might be fatherhood, marriage, having an end of life conversation or calling out a friend on their BS.
Whatever the adventure is for you right now, keep exploring. Live your adventure!
